BARSEBÄCK KRAFT AB Barsebäck is located in the south of Sweden 19 km from Copenhagen. The plant has two BWR-units, with a capacity of 615 MW each. They were commissioned in 1975/1977, and closed for political reasons in 1999/2005. The Barsebäck Power Plant is owned by Ringhals AB since July 2000. A GOALART PROJECT WITH BARSEBÄCK In 2002, GoalArt performed a project with Barsebäck, Oskarshamn, Ringhals, and IFE Halden. Root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority were succesfully tested and evaluated. From 2005, GoalArt is a subcontractor to IFE Halden in a joint research project with Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals in Sweden, and Loviisa and Olkiluoto in Finland. This project aims at full-scale implementation of root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority for the Hambo simulator, which is based on the Forsmark 3 unit. Modeling and software integration will be finished in the summer of 2006, followed by HMI design and user tests with operator crews from all participating plants in 2006-2007.
