FORTUM LOVIISA Loviisa power plant is the first nuclear power plant in Finland. The power plant has two units of 510 MW each. They started operation in 1977 and 1980. The units are VVER-440 type pressurised water reactors.  The Loviisa plant is owned by Fortum, a leading power company in Scandinavia. A GOALART PROJECT WITH FORTUM From 2005, GoalArt is a subcontractor to IFE Halden in a joint research project with Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals in Sweden, and Loviisa and Olkiluoto in Finland. This project aims at full-scale implementation of root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority for the Hambo simulator, which is based on the Forsmark 3 unit. Modeling and software integration will be finished in the summer of 2006, followed by HMI design and user tests with operator crews from all participating plants in 2006-2007.
