OSKARSHAMNSVERKET OKG owns three nuclear reactor units, which, together, account for more than 10% of the total electricity generated in Sweden. OKG is also responsible for operating CLAB, the interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel from all the nuclear power plants in Sweden. OKG AB was founded on July 14, 1965 and has been a subsidiary of Sydkraft AB since January 1, 1993. The company is owned by three energy groups, two of them are Swedish and one is Finnish. Sydkraft owns 54.5%, Birka Energi 35.5%, and Fortum Kraft 10% of OKG. A GOALART PROJECT WITH OKG In 2002, GoalArt performed a project with Barsebäck, Oskarshamn, Ringhals, and IFE Halden. Root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority were succesfully tested and evaluated. From 2005, GoalArt is a subcontractor to IFE Halden in a joint research project with Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals in Sweden, and Loviisa and Olkiluoto in Finland. This project aims at full-scale implementation of root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority for the Hambo simulator, which is based on the Forsmark 3 unit. Modeling and software integration will be finished in the summer of 2006, followed by HMI design and user tests with operator crews from all participating plants in 2006-2007.
