TEOLLISUUDEN VOIMA OY Teollisuuden Voima Oy (Industrial Power Inc.) operates two 840 MW boiling water reactors at Olkiluoto, on the west coast of Finland. The two units were commissioned in 1978 and 1980.  TVO is a private power generation company owned by Finnish industrial and power companies, to which TVO supplies electricity at cost price. TVO is currently building a third nuclear unit with a planned capacity of 1600 MW. A GOALART PROJECT WITH TVO From 2005, GoalArt is a subcontractor to IFE Halden in a joint research project with Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals in Sweden, and Loviisa and Olkiluoto in Finland. This project aims at full-scale implementation of root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority for the Hambo simulator, which is based on the Forsmark 3 unit. Modeling and software integration will be finished in the summer of 2006, followed by HMI design and user tests with operator crews from all participating plants in 2006-2007.
