ESS The European Spallation Source (ESS) is a multi-disciplinary research centre based on the world’s most powerful neutron source. This new facility will be around 30 times brighter than today’s leading facilities, enabling new opportunities for researchers in the fields of life sciences, energy, environmental technology, cultural heritage, and fundamental physics.  The European Spallation Source AB is a public company owned by the Swedish and Danish governments. All partner countries will be offered shares in the company. The ESS Steering Committee contains representatives from 17 partner countries. A GOALART PROJECT WITH ESS In February 2014, GoalArt signed a project with ESS. The aim of this project is to create a general alarm strategy for the ESS control system.
